Bob Trotta
Robert Trotta, Charity Founder

The Palmyra Foundation was founded by international real estate developer Robert Trotta, developer of The Palmyra Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Mr. Trotta has been member of the American Resort Developer Association (ARDA) for over 30 years. A firm believer in the development of people as an important part of any resort environment, Mr. Trotta continues to be the charity’s main sponsor and benefactor, carrying all operational costs of the charity.

Ragni Trotta
Ragni Trotta, Chairperson

The foundation is spearheaded by Chairperson Ragni Trotta, the daughter of two Norwegian school teachers who is passionate about Early Childhood Education. A media and marketing professional with extensive experience from the media, tourism and resort development industries in several countries, Ms. Trotta is a post-graduate of The London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) with a MSc in Media, Communications and Development.

Frank Perolli
Frank Perolli, Board Member

Founding member and Board Member Frank Perolli has been a key part of the charity founder’s team since its startup in 2007. From Canada, the former General Motors executive has lived and worked in Jamaica for the last 8 years. He believes in giving back to the youth of the country, by way of assisting Kindergarten children to learn to read and write.

Arden Hamilton
Arden Hamilton, Accountant

Arden Hamilton was born and grew up in the Parish of St. James, Jamaica. After attending Montego Bay Infant School and Cornwall College High School, he achieved his professional qualification in Business Administration majoring in accounting at accountant at The University of Technology (UTECH). While his parents gave him the best possible upbringing and education, Hamilton was keenly aware that not every Jamaican benefited from the same opportunities and wants to give back through the Books4Kids Jamaica program.
